Cleveland Office Serve Kids’ Book Bank for Day of Service

Ice Miller’s Cleveland office will participate in its Day of Service on October 5 at the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank. The office will be boxing books for Little Free Libraries; preschool, afterschool and tutoring programs; and for agencies that teach parents to read with their children. The Kids’ Book Bank hopes to foster a love of reading and literacy by putting free books in the hands of children.

According to Kids’ Book Bank, two-thirds of low-income families do not own a single children’s book. The organization has distributed 184,000 books since March 1, 2016. In addition to donating books, the organization is responsible for installing 60 Little Free Libraries across Cleveland—miniature, decorated boxes where children can pass by and “check out” books in their own neighborhoods.
