Ice Miller Indianapolis Office to “Pack Away Hunger” at Lucas Oil Stadium

On Oct. 7, the Indianapolis Ice Miller office will be teaming up with Pack Away Hunger for its Day of Service. The team will meet at Lucas Oil Stadium to pack 100,000 nutritious, pre-packaged meals for at-risk populations and children in need. The packed meals will be distributed to local food banks in Indianapolis.

Pack Away Hunger is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit that has already packed 1.5 million meals in 2016 alone. Pack Away Hunger developed a “Nutri-Plenty Meal” specifically formulated to alleviate and reverse the effects of malnutrition in small children. The meal also only requires a pot, boiling water and a spoon to prepare.

The organization has formulated an efficient system for volunteers, where a 12-person assembly line can create 3,000-4,000 meals in a two-and-a-half hour shift.
