Practice Group Assignment

You will be assigned to work in a specific practice group. When making assignments, we consider your background and interests as well as the Firm's current needs. One of the many great things about Ice Miller LLP is the willingness of our lawyers to pitch in and help any practice group. 

Early in your career at Ice Miller, you will have "hands on" experience and many opportunities to work closely with partners in your practice group. You will also work directly with clients during your first year at the Firm. 

As our goal is to meet the diverse needs of our clients, lawyers sometimes move from their original practice area as their careers progress. This may be at the request of the lawyer or the Firm. 

We are particularly proud of the flexibility of Ice Miller in allowing the creation of several exciting new practice areas. We provide an environment that is innovative and flexible so we can be responsive to the changes in the legal market.
