IRS Releases 2006 Implementing Guidelines for Exempt Organizations

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division recently released its work plan for 2006 regarding the tax-exempt sector, highlighting compliance initiatives in areas such as compensation, IRC Section 509(a)(3) supporting organizations, charitable trusts and conservation easements, and identifying a new enforcement initiative with respect to hospitals.
