Judy Okenfuss to Represent Alma Mater at Indiana Tech Law School Dedication
Ice Miller LLP Partner Judy Okenfuss
will represent her alma mater, Washington University School of Law, at the Indiana Tech Law School Dedication Ceremony on Sept. 14, 2013. Okenfuss will be among representatives from numerous other law schools throughout the United States.
Washington University School of Law presented Okenfuss with a Distinguished Young Alumni Award in 2012. She received her Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bachelors of Arts in Spanish, as well as her Juris Doctorate from Washington University. Currently, she serves on the National Council for the Washington University School of Law.
Okenfuss is the chair of the Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action group at Ice Miller and focuses her practice in these areas. She has defended cases in more than 30 jurisdictions around the United States and developed her strength in class-action litigation throughout her career. Okenfuss has defended companies in a variety of national class actions and multi-district litigation cases, including cases relating to Bisphenol-A in baby bottles; lead in children's products, including wooden trains; Medicaid benefits; insurance; medical devices; and other consumer products.
The Indiana Tech Law School Dedication Ceremony will take place on the Indiana Tech campus in Fort Wayne, Ind. Indiana Tech Law School will be the first law school to open in the state of Indiana in more than 100 years.
