Carr Invited to Become Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers

, partner in the Firm’s Labor and Employment Group, has been invited to become a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence.
With Carr's induction into the College during the ceremony held on Nov. 3, 2012, in Atlanta, Ga., he becomes only the eighth lawyer in Indiana to be invited into the College. The 17th induction class brings the College to 1,200 members in 43 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and six provinces from Canada.
The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers strive to establish the profession in all its aspects as one uniquely important to the world of labor and employment law, individual rights, collective bargaining and dispute resolution. The College was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of The Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association.
Carr has practiced law for over 25 years and focuses his work in the areas of employment litigation, including class and collective actions, personnel policies, employment discrimination, wage and hour law, and employment contracts involving trade secrets, confidential information and covenants against competition. Carr received his Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in 1981. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1984.
