Ice Miller Supports the Young Entrepreneur’s Academy Class of 2015 – 2016
COLUMBUS (September 8, 2015)
- Ice Miller is proud to be the title sponsor of the Columbus, OH Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)
for the 2015 – 2016 school year. YEA! is a groundbreaking and exciting year-long class that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. With the assistance of local businesspeople who serve as mentors, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of investors, and actually launch and run their own real, legal, fully-formed companies and social movements.
Founded in 2004 at the University of Rochester with support from the Kauffman Foundation, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy today serves thousands of students in communities across America. This is the second year the Columbus area, in coordination with the local chapter for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), has run this program to prepare the next generation of young entrepreneurs.
Interested students in grades 6 – 12 can apply on a rolling basis until September 30th. Applications can be downloaded from NAWBOCOLUMBUSOHIO.COM website, under the “Only NAWBO” section or click here.
