Ice Miller Welcomes 2013 Fall Class to Indianapolis Location
Indianapolis - Ice Miller LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of six new attorneys within five different practice groups to the Indianapolis location. Every member of the 2013 fall class has professional experience as a law clerk, summer associate, legal intern or in a previous non-legal career. The Firm's newest lawyers are:
Charles Bush is an associate in the Firm's Labor and Employment Group. In 2013, Charles graduated magna cum laude from Valparaiso University School of Law. There, he served as a judicial extern for Judge Tanya Walton Pratt in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He was also a member of the Valparaiso University Sports Law Clinic, the Black Law Students Association and the Moot Court Society. Bush was a summer associate for Ice Miller in 2012 and joined the firm as an associate in 2013.
Katie Marschke is an associate in the Firm's Litigation and Intellectual Property Group. She received her Bachelor of Science in hospitality and tourism management at Purdue University in 2009, graduating with high distinction. Her focus was restaurant management. Marschke attended law school at Pennsylvania State University, the Dickinson School of Law in State College, Pa. She graduated magna cum laude and received her juris doctorate in 2013. Marschke was an editor for the Penn State Law Review and on the executive board for Phi Alpha Delta, the national professional law fraternity. Prior to joining the Firm, Marschke worked as a summer clerk for Ice Miller.
Raven Merlau is an associate in the Firm's Employee Benefits Group. Merlau graduated from George Mason University School of Law, receiving her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, in 2013. There, she served as notes editor for the George Mason Law Review. While in law school, she clerked for the AARP Foundation Litigation's Employee Benefits team, served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Patricia Broderick of the D.C. Superior Court and worked as a research assistant for Henry Manne, dean emeritus of George Mason University School of Law.
Shelby Rothenberger is Of Counsel in the Firm's Trusts and Estates Group. Originally from Frankfort, Ind., she received her Bachelor of Science in business administration from The Ohio State University in 2010. Rothenberger then returned to her Hoosier roots and in 2013 she earned her juris doctorate, cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Brittney Sharp is an associate in the Firm's Business Group. Sharp earned her Bachelor of Science in international management, summa cum laude, from Butler University in 2010. She graduated from Ave Maria School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2013. While in law school she served as the executive articles editor of the Ave Maria Law Review and as a peer tutor for the Academic Success Program. Sharp was a summer clerk with Ice Miller in 2012 before joining the Firm as an associate in 2013.
Ryan Waggoner is an associate in the Firm's Trusts and Estates Group. Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Butler University in 2010. While at Butler, he served as student body president and received the 2010 Most Outstanding Male Student award. Waggoner also volunteered with Court Appointed Special Advocates, working to improve the lives of children in the Indianapolis foster care system. He graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law. After countless celebrity-sightings, and even more failed attempts at learning to surf, Waggoner left Malibu in 2013 and returned to the Hoosier state. Proud natives of Franklin, Ind., Ryan and his wife are thrilled to be back home again in central Indiana.
