Full Biography: Cynthia Purvis

Ms. Purvis is a senior counsel in Ice Miller's employee benefits practice group. Ms. Purvis advises employers, plans, fiduciaries and service providers on all aspects of benefits, including qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, 403(b) plans, fiduciary duties, health plans, cafeteria plans, other welfare plans and executive compensation. Ms. Purvis also handles disputes and litigation relating to all aspects of employee benefits, such as claims involving breaches of fiduciary duty, tax qualification issues, and benefit denials.

Ms. Purvis graduated from Butler University in December, 1982, earning a B.S. cum laude, in arts administration. She earned her juris doctorate, summa cum laude, from Indiana University - Indianapolis School of Law in 1988.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ms. Purvis joined Ice Miller in 2005. Prior to joining Ice Miller, Ms. Purvis served as in-house counsel to an employee benefits consulting firm and was a member of another law firm's employee benefits practice group for 16 years.
