Professional Experience:
Malene Prince is an associate in the Firm's Business Group, concentrating her practice in corporate law.
Prince has represented emerging growth companies and private equity funds and their portfolio companies in venture capital and private equity financings, merger and acquisitiion transactions and general corporate matters. In connection with that representation, she has also advised clients on issues related to private offering exemptions under federal and state securities law, entity formation and corporate governance matters. Prince also has experience representing state and local government in public-private partnership transactions and a large pharmaceutical client in multi-national clinical research contracting.
Prince earned her Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2001. She received her juris doctorate from George Washington University Law School in 2005 where she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal and ethics honor society.
She joined Ice Miller in August 2005. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois and the state of Indiana.

1. Represented an Indiana-based private quity fund in connection with the formation and capitalization of its $35 million venture capital fund.
2. Represented the state of Indiana in the concession of the Indiana Toll Road and the city of Indianapolis in the privatization of the city's parking meters.
3. Represented a Missouri-based biomedical instruments company in a $40 million merger with a Michigan-based public medical device comapny.
4. Represented an Indiana-based private equity firm in a $35 million leveraged buy-out of an Ohio-based manufacturing company.
5. Represented an Indiana-based company in the negotiation of medical research contracts with vendors, clinical research agreements with investigators/institutions for internatinal pharmaceutical trials and pharmacovigilance agreements associated with strategic alliances.
