Richard Johnson is a partner in the Ice Miller DuPage County, Ill., office, where he concentrates his practice in estate, trust and guardianship controversies.
Johnson has experience in the areas of estate, trust and guardianship litigation. He has argued cases at the trial and appellate levels involving contested estate, trust and guardianship issues in courts throughout Illinois. His practice focuses on representing individuals and corporate fiduciaries. In addition, he represents both corporate and individual executors and trustees as to their fiduciary duties in administering estates and trusts. He also advises individual clients in all aspects of estate and wealth transfer planning. He has represented owners and governmental entities in connection with eminent domain matters. He has assisted owners of both improved and unimproved land, and defended takings by municipalities, counties and state agencies.
He joined Ice Miller in 2007.
