Professional Experience:
George Gasper is a partner in Ice Miller's Competitive Business Practices Litigation Group. He is an experienced litigator focused on resolving disputes to help clients achieve strategic objectives and a competitive advantage in their marketplace. His experience includes antitrust law/trade regulation, franchise disputes, products liability, and copyright/trademark enforcement.
Gasper is a litigator with trial experience and a passion for winning who understands that a client's objectives often can and should be achieved outside the courtroom. He has provided strategic advice, counseling and litigation service in disputes involving antitrust law, employment law, copyright/trademark enforcement and environmental law. He has represented clients across several industries, including oil and gas, steel, health care, and entertainment. He also has represented clients who provide educational and religious services.
Prior to joining Ice Miller, Gasper practiced law in Washington, D.C., where he litigated matters in federal court and represented clients whose mergers and/or pricing decisions were the subject of government investigations.
He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana, the District of Columbia and various federal courts.
Gasper is a proud native of Philadelphia, Pa., where he earned the City Council's Good Citizenship Award. In 1999, he received a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University, graduating with honors and a double major in management and marketing. In 2003, he graduated, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, he was the administrative editor of the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy, in which he published an article anticipating the increased flight of jobs from the center of America's cities and outlining how cities such as Indianapolis could retain those valued employment opportunities.
Also while in law school, Gasper met his wife, Julie, and is now thrilled to raise their three sons in Julie's hometown of Indianapolis. Gasper also enjoys his work as a board member with Heritage Place and a program impact committee member with College Mentors for Kids.
