Professional Experience:
G. Daniel Kelley's areas of concentration are commercial litigation and arbitration, natural resources, mineral leases, mining and environmental law, and long term sales contracts.

Kelley has presented papers on various aspects of the mining industry and has appeared in long term sales contracts and mining litigation and arbitrations in the United States district and appeals courts in the Fifth Circuit, Sixth Circuit, Seventh Circuit, Ninth Circuit and Tenth Circuit and in the federal district or state courts in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and Wyoming. He has also appeared on behalf of the coal industry concerning constitutional and environmental issues in the United States Supreme Court, the Indiana Supreme Court and in the Illinois appeals courts.

In 1970, he was an assistant professor at Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis.

Kelley, a native of Indianapolis, attended American University and Hanover College receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1962. He then completed graduate work in economics and business before working in the business community.

Subsequently, while clerking for a judge of the Indiana Appellate Court and of the Supreme Court of Indiana from 1964-1967, he attended the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis where he was editor-in-chief for the Indiana Law Review and was on the National Moot Court Team, receiving a juris doctorate, with honors, in 1967.

Kelley joined Ice Miller in 1967. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana.
