Full Biography: Michael H. Boldt

Michael Boldt’s primary area of practice is labor law on the management side, including responding to union organizational drives, collective bargaining, arbitration, employee discipline, construction labor law, and equal employment opportunity law.

He frequently writes on labor law topics and serves on the faculty of various labor and management relations seminars. Mr. Boldt is a regular member of the faculty for the Annual Seminar on Labor-Management Relations presented by National Labor Relations Board (Region Twenty-Five) and Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Mr. Boldt has served as Instructor for the AGC of America Midwest Negotiator's course in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Mr. Boldt has also served as instructor for collective bargaining seminars for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America in Nevada, Missouri, Arizona and Texas.

Michael Boldt was born in Detroit, Michigan, and received his bachelor of arts from Wayne State University graduating, with highest distinction, in 1972. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his juris doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School in 1975.

Mr. Boldt joined Ice Miller in 1975 and is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh and District of Columbia Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Throughout his career, Mr. Boldt has been active in various roles within Ice Miller. He was the first chairman of the Firm's paralegal Committee, holding that position for over ten years. He is a past co-chair of the Firm's Labor Section, and served as a member of the Firm's Management Committee and as an Assistant Administrative Partner in the 1980's. Mr. Boldt is currently the Firm's Career Development Partner, working with associate attorneys on development of their long term career plans.
