Professional Experience:
Craig Burke concentrates his practice in the area of employee benefits, advising clients regarding employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), pension and profit-sharing plans, 401(k) plans, health and welfare plans, cafeteria plans, as well as executive and deferred compensation agreements and equity-based incentive compensation plans.
Burke also counsels clients on benefit plan compliance and tax-qualification issues, fiduciary issues, and compliance with tax, pension and securities laws related to such arrangements. He assists clients with the employee benefit issues related to business combinations and divestitures.
He earned his juris doctorate from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., where he graduated, magna cum laude, in 1994. He was a member of the Indiana Law Journal and was appointed to the Order of the Coif.
Prior to attending law school, Burke worked as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young, concentrating in the area of corporate and individual income taxation.
A native of New Albany, Ind., Burke joined Ice Miller in 1994 and is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana.
