Full Biography: Nancy M. Germano
Nancy Germano's primary focus is qualified employee benefit plans, including drafting plan documents, drafting summary plan descriptions and administrative forms, researching and assisting employers with legal issues surrounding plan administration, preparing IRS submissions for approval of qualified plans, preparing annual Form 5500 filings, conducting nondiscrimination testing for qualified plans, researching and assisting with corrections of plan failures under IRS programs, preparing IRS and PBGC submissions for defined benefit plan terminations, and calculating accrued benefits and preparing benefit statements for defined benefit plan terminations.
Nancy has 17 years of experience as a paralegal in the employee benefits field in the Indianapolis area. Nancy was an employee benefits paralegal with Ice Miller from 1984 to 1988. She gained experience as a legal assistant with the actuarial and employee benefits consulting firm of McCready and Keene, Inc., from 1988 to 1995 and with American United Life Insurance Company from 1995 to 2000 before returning to Ice Miller in 2000. In addition, Nancy has conducted a variety of training classes on employee benefit plan topics.
