Full Biography: Tara Schulstad Sciscoe
Tara Schulstad Sciscoe's primary area of law is employee benefits, including qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, 403(b) plans, 401(a) plans, deferred compensation and 457 plans, fiduciary duties, health and welfare plans, executive compensation, severance plans, early retirement incentives, and phased retirement. Ms. Sciscoe additionally handles disputes and litigation relating to all aspects of employee benefits, such as claims involving breaches of fiduciary duty, statutory violations of ERISA, tax qualification issues, and benefit denials. Ms. Sciscoe works closely with colleges, universities, and other educational organizations, as well as with all other types of for-profit and non-profit entities.
Ms. Sciscoe graduated from Duke University in 1991 earning an A.B., cum laude, in psychology and political science. She earned her juris doctorate, cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan in 1994.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ms. Sciscoe joined Ice Miller in 1994. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana, and before the United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana, the United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits.
