Full Biography: Phillip Ralph Scaletta

Phillip Scaletta's primary practice concentration is environmental law and business/contract litigation. Mr. Scaletta heads the Firm's Environmental Group. He has a broad administrative practice and experience in defending against citizen suits and enforcement actions.

Mr. Scaletta is a frequent speaker on the topics of CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, RCRA, wetlands and underground storage tanks. He is the author of many publications, including the 1992 manual Wetlands Law and Regulations in Indiana.

He is the Past President of the Environmental Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association and a member of the Indiana State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Defense Counsel.

Mr. Scaletta was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana. He received his bachelor of science in industrial management and chemical engineering from Purdue University, where he graduated with highest distinction in 1971. He obtained his master of science in industrial administration from Purdue University, graduating with highest distinction in 1972. In 1975 he received his juris doctorate from Indiana University, Bloomington, graduating cum laude.

Mr. Scaletta joined Ice Miller in 1975. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana.
