Full Biography: Kelly J Pitcher
Kelly Pitcher's primary practice concentration is litigation, focusing on medical malpractice defense, product liability and general litigation. She has been involved in national litigation (PPA; Accutane) and is active in the defense of hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers as well as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. She has represented physicians and hospitals throughout the state of Indiana for more than 15 years.
Ms. Pitcher has spoken on the subjects of medical malpractice, risk management and medical records. She has offered educational programs to hospitals, physician office practice groups and liability insurers.
She is a member of the Indiana State and American Bar Associations, and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and Defense Research Institute. Ms. Pitcher serves as Judge of the Reach for Youth Teen Court, and coaches the Center Grove High School Mock Trial Team. She is also a member of Project PEACE (Peaceful Endings through Attorneys, Children and Educators), a joint project of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Office of the Attorney General. She served as past President of the White River Republican Women's Club.
Born in Plymouth, Indiana, she graduated, with high honors, from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in education in 1979. She graduated, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis in 1988. While in law school, she was a participant in the Jessup International Moot Court Team and the Order of Barristers.
She clerked for the Honorable Randall T. Shepard, Chief Justice of Indiana, 1986-1988.
Ms. Pitcher joined Ice Miller in 1988. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana.
