Professional Experience:
Michael Buker is a member of Ice Miller’s Tax Team. Buker advises clients in corporate, partnership and individual tax matters with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, international tax, strategic planning, executive compensation, and business services. Michael Buker is also a member of Ice Miller's Affordable Housing and Economic Development Group.

Buker has authored or co-authored numerous articles on tax issues and is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences on tax matters. He is a former chair of the Executive Committee of the Taxation Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association, and is a member of the Closely Held Businesses and the S Corporation Committees of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, California State Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys where he has served on the Finance and Audit and Continuing Legal Education Committees.

Buker obtained his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. Buker earned his juris doctorate, with great distinction, from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, Cal. and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

Buker is admitted to practice law in both Indiana and California and is a licensed certified public accountant.
