Full Biography: Dale E. Stackhouse
Dale Stackhouse's practice focuses on international trade and investment and he is chairman of the Firm's International Practice Group. In addition, Mr. Stackhouse handles a variety of general business and corporate matters for domestic and international clients.
Mr. Stackhouse is the author of several articles on international law issues and has addressed groups throughout Indiana on topics related to international trade, customs, export compliance and licensing, NAFTA, and foreign investment.
He has been involved with a variety of groups related to international law and international business in Indianapolis, including the World Trade Club, the Japan-America Society of Indiana, Inc., and the Forum for International Service Providers, and has served as president of the Indianapolis Bar Association's International Section.
Originally from Newton, Massachusetts, Mr. Stackhouse received his bachelor of arts in political science from DePauw University, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1984. In 1988 he obtained his juris doctorate from Harvard Law School and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Mr. Stackhouse joined Ice Miller in 1989, and began full time work at the Firm after one year with Konaka, Toyama & Hosoya, a Japanese law firm located in Tokyo. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana. He serves as counsel for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and is a Member of the Pike YMCA Board of Managers. He was named Pike YMCA's "Man of the Year" in 2007.
