Full Biography: Todd W. Ponder

A member of the Firm's Municipal Finance Practice Group, Todd W. Ponder focuses his practice on tax-exempt financing for public and private institutions of higher education. He also participates in bond issues for Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and other related types of tax-exempt financing. During the first nine years of his practice Mr. Ponder concentrated exclusively in the area of labor and employment law and related litigation, representing management.

Mr. Ponder has written articles and spoken frequently on numerous topics relating to tax-exempt financing, as well as labor and employment law issues and civil rights.

Mr. Ponder is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. He has served as a council member for the Labor Law Sections of both the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations. He is active in a variety of community organizations and currently serves as Past-President and Board Member of the House Corporation for Sigma Chi Fraternity at DePauw University. He also serves on the DePauw University Board of Fraternal Affairs. He is listed in Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans.

Following graduation from law school Mr. Ponder worked for two years with the Atlanta, Georgia law firm of King & Spalding.

Mr. Ponder was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated magna cum laude from DePauw University in 1981, with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the University of Chicago School of Law in 1984.

Mr. Ponder joined Ice Miller in 1986. He is admitted to practice in the states of Georgia and Indiana.
