Full Biography: Gary L. Stage

Gary Stage focuses his practice primarily on general business and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation and securities law. He has experience with many different industries and transactions. In recent years, health care transactions and counseling institutional investors regarding private equity investments have formed significant parts of his practice.

Mr. Stage was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan; grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania; and resided in Lexington, Kentucky for twenty-five years before moving to Indianapolis in 1998. In Lexington, Mr. Stage was a partner with the law firm Stoll, Keenon & Park, LLP (now Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC), where he practiced from 1976 to 1998. Prior to joining Ice Miller in 1999, he served as Vice-President, Secretary and General Counsel of Monument Realty, Inc., a newly-formed real estate investment trust headquartered in Indianapolis.

Mr. Stage graduated from The College of William and Mary in Virginia where he received his A.B. in 1971. He earned his J.D., with high distinction, Order of the Coif, in 1976 from the University of Kentucky. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Kentucky Law Journal.

Gary Stage is admitted to practice in Indiana and Kentucky. He is a member of the American, Indiana, Kentucky and Indianapolis Bar Associations and the American Health Lawyers Association.
