Professional Experience:
Anne Doran is a senior legislative advocate with two decades of experience representing corporate, municipal and trade association clients before the Indiana General Assembly and state and local regulatory agencies.

Doran has held numerous government positions at the federal, state and local levels. She began her public service career in Washington, D. C., working for the general counsel of the Federal Election Commission and the administrator of the Small Business Administration. She successfully managed the 1980 Decennial Census in Northern Indiana and was the youngest district manager of the Census Bureau in the nation. After serving for two years as the director of development for a private secondary school, Doran joined the staff of the mayor of Fort Wayne, Ind. as deputy staff director. During her tenure, Doran was responsible for oversight of external affairs for the city, including public information, citizens action service center and the management of local and state legislative matters. She was also active with the U. S. Conference of Mayors, providing staff support to the Tax Policy Committee and the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.

At the end of the mayor's term in office, Doran joined the Lincoln National Corporation as director of Indiana government relations, representing both the corporation and the domestic life and health trade association, the Association of Indiana Life Insurance Companies, before the Indiana General Assembly and state regulatory agencies. She served as corporate representative to numerous associations, including the Health Insurance Association of America, the American Council of Life Insurance, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Manufacturers' Association and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Prior to joining Ice Miller in January 2001, Doran was director of public affairs for the law firm of Johnson Smith, LLP.

A member of a politically active Indiana family, Doran has been involved in state and local politics for numerous years. She has served as campaign manager or volunteer on dozens of mayoral or city council races throughout the state, and has worked on the campaigns of several current and former congressional members as well as state office holders. She has been a delegate to both state and national conventions and has been a local precinct committeewoman.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in public affairs from Indiana University. She continues to serves as a member of the Health Insurance for Indiana Families Task Force and chair of the Tax Issues Committee.
