Full Biography: Adam Arceneaux
Adam Arceneaux is a partner in the Competitive Business Practices Litigation Group. His practice includes drafting, defending and defeating covenants not to compete, non-solicitation clauses, confidentiality agreements, and trade secrets claims. Mr. Arceneaux has obtained, and defended against, temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, and other forms of emergency relief in state and federal courts. In addition, he represents businesses in disputes arising from the sale of goods and services, from the termination of supplier contracts and business relationships, and from various breaches of contract. Mr. Arceneaux represents manufacturers and distributors in product liability and tort actions. Mr. Arceneaux represents clients in real estate disputes. He also litigates before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
Mr. Arceneaux was born in Cambridge, Maryland, in 1966 and was raised in Indianapolis. He attended the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis, where he majored in business analysis and marketing, with a minor in economics. He received his bachelor of science with highest honors in 1988. Mr. Arceneaux earned a juris doctorate, graduating summa cum laude, from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, in 1993. While in law school, he served as Associate Editor of the Indiana Law Review and, as a member of the Order of Barristers, and participated in Intercollegiate Moot Court competitions.
Mr. Arceneaux is a member and past president of the Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series Class XXVI.
Mr. Arceneaux joined the Firm in 1991 as a clerk and in 1993 as an attorney. He and his wife, Margaret, have three children.
Mr. Arceneaux is a member of the Seventh Circuit, Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations. Mr. Arceneaux is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the Southern District of Illinois, the Southern District of Texas, and before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Arceneaux is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America Honorary Society.
