Full Biography: Mark Wilson Ford
Mark W. Ford is a partner in the Labor & Employment Group of Ice Miller. For more than 30 years his practice has been devoted to the representation of employers in the traditional labor law forums of collective bargaining, arbitration and NLRB proceedings. A substantial portion of Mr. Ford’s practice is also concentrated on the defense of employment discrimination charges and complaints before state and federal administrative agencies and judicial tribunals. In addition, Mr. Ford is a member of Ice Miller's Collegiate Sports Practice group. He consults with NCAA member institutions on issues ranging from potential infractions to intercollegiate personnel/employment law matters.
A frequent lecturer on the employment law circuit, Mr. Ford has spoken to attorneys and human resource professionals on virtually every facet of employment discrimination law. Recent topics have included the expectation of employee privacy in the workplace, developments in the law governing harassment claims, and disciplining employees in a non-union work environment. Supervisory training on the prevention of harassment in the workplace is an additional focus.
Mr. Ford is a former Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section. He is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Indiana, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
A native of Indianapolis, Mr. Ford received his Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in 1971, and his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Indiana University School of Law in 1974.
