Ice Miller Partner Greg Pemberton Named Among Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyers

Indianapolis, March 28, 2008- Greg Pemberton, partner at Ice Miller LLP, has been named an Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyer by Nightingale's Healthcare News, a newsletter for health care executives and professionals serving the health care industry. Pemberton is among 10 attorneys from across the country who were named to the annual list in their March 2008 issue.

Nightingale recognized Pemberton for representing "numerous joint venture transactions including ASCs (ambulatory surgery centers) and other diagnostic providers and physician groups in all aspects of their practices, including planning and creating physician-owned entities and joint ventures; structuring compensation systems; negotiating various contractual agreements and payer arrangements."

Pemberton is a frequent speaker and author on the topics of health care regulation and transactions, and on corporate and tax aspects of Indiana non-profit corporations. He is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. He is the past chair of the ABA Health Law Section and of the Indianapolis Bar Association Health Care Section. He currently serves in the House of Delegates of the ABA. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.

Pemberton serves as treasurer on the board of directors for the Fund For Hoosier Excellence, the vice president of the board of directors for the Walther Cancer Institute, the president of the board of directors for the New World Youth Symphony Orchestra, the vice chair of the board of directors for the Indiana State Museum Foundation, the board of directors of the Great Lakes Division of the American Cancer Society, the board of directors of the Indiana Association of United Ways, and the board of directors and the finance committee of United Way of Central Indiana. He continues to serve on the Core Legal Committee of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
