Denise Barkdull Wins National Women in Public Finance Award

Indianapolis, January 30, 2009 - Ice Miller LLP is proud to announce that Denise Barkdull, a partner at Ice Miller, was awarded the Rising Star Award by the Women in Public Finance organization. The national award is given to one woman who has been involved in the public finance field for 10 years or less and whose work demonstrates skill and intelligence for long-term impact in the field.

Barkdull is a partner in Ice Miller's Municipal Finance Practice Group. She assists state and local governments and governmental units with financings to accomplish their governmental purposes, as well as to promote economic development within their region. Barkdull provides counsel for, among other things, airports, solid waste disposal facilities, single family and multi-family housing, municipal gas utilities, and manufacturing facilities.

Women in Public Finance is a nonprofit, educational and professional networking organization for women in the public finance industry.
