Attorneys who were named to the Super Lawyers List were nominated by their peers. The Indiana Super Lawyers List was sponsored by Law & Politics, a legal trade journal. Ballots were mailed to attorneys in Indiana who were asked to vote for the best lawyers they had personally observed in action. Each lawyer was given a score based on the number and types of votes received. Votes received from lawyers in other law firms were awarded more points than votes received from lawyers in the same firm.
Sherry Fabina-Abney will be featured in the issue because, in addition to being named a 2009 Super Lawyer in health care, her family raises a heard of belted galloway, a rare breed of cattle originally from the rugged and hilly regions of Scotland. Fabina-Abney also raises chickens and goats on her small working farm in Johnson County.
