Beth Barranger is a litigation paralegal working primarily in the areas of pharmaceutical products and medical device products liability defense.
Beth assists clients and attorneys in all phases of litigation. During the discovery phase, she assists the clients and attorneys with the preparation of both the discovery requests to the plaintiff and the client's responses. She handles the collection of all pertinent records/documents and other pertinent case materials and maintains the necessary database of case and document information for each case. Beth also coordinates document production during the discovery phase and maintains a master calendar of critical dates during the entire course of the litigation. She analyzes medical records and prepares a medical chronology that is a useful tool in preparing for depositions and trial. During the trial phase of litigation, Beth assists with the preparation of exhibits including demonstrative exhibits, document organization, works with witnesses and experts and works with the court staff and technology providers to assure proper court room set up and readiness for trial.
While at Ice Miller, Beth has been involved in several types of products liability cases involving pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetic products and toxic tort and medical malpractice defense. Prior to joining Ice Miller in 1997, she worked primarily in the area of medical malpractice defense from 1990 to 1997. She earned her Bachelor of Science in education from Purdue University in 1987 and obtained a graduate level certificate in paralegal studies from Roosevelt University in Chicago in 1990. Beth is an active member of the Indiana Paralegal Association.
