Jana Harris, J.D., Ph.D. is an associate in Ice Miller's Litigation and Intellectual Property Solutions Group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property including patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, licensing and litigation.
In 2002, Jana graduated summa cum laude and with honors with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry from Grand Canyon University.
Jana received her Doctorate of Philosophy in 2006 from Vanderbilt University in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology. She also worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University.
She obtained her juris doctorate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2010 with a certificate in advocacy. While in law school, she participated as an oralist and brief writer for the Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court Team and as an oralist for the Houston Invitational Moot Court Team. She was also an editor and board member for the Annals of Health Law Journal, vice president of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and a judicial extern for the Northern District of Illinois.
Jana is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois and the state of Indiana, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Northern District of Indiana, and the Southern District of Indiana. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
