Jeni Keene is a paralegal in Ice Miller's Litigation and Intellectual Property Groups. She works closely with attorneys and clients to assist with general litigation in the areas of personal injury, risk management, claim adjustment and sports & entertainment and in the renewal, transfer and attainment of new alcohol and tobacco licenses. Jeni’s role in the Intellectual Property Group is to assist with prosecution and maintenance of intellectual property portfolios for patents, trademarks and copyrights in foreign countries.  

Jeni's primary functions include fact investigation, evaluation and development; witness location and interviews; legal and background research; complex case management; preparation of discovery requests and responses; organization and assessment of documents and exhibits; and drafting legal documents under the supervision of attorneys. She also assists with and participates at trials, depositions and mediations. Jeni regularly performs on-site risk management services and assists clients with trademark enforcement. In her intellectual property role, Jeni regularly communicates with foreign associates to achieve prosecution and maintenance of client marks worldwide.    

Jeni earned her paralegal terminology certification from Clark College in 1988 and has been with Ice Miller since 1995. Jeni has also achieved significant credit hours towards a business degree at Ivy Tech State College and is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
