Lauren Ford is a Law Clerk in the Firm’s Business Practice Group and focuses her efforts on alternative investments and finance matters.
Lauren supports lawyers in the Business Practice Group with a wide variety of institutional investors such as governmental entities and other limited partners in all aspects of their alternative investments programs. As a Law Clerk, she is exposed to a diverse range of strategies, including venture capital, buyout, real estate, infrastructure, hedge and subordinated debt funds and fund of funds.
In addition to alternative investments, Lauren supports lawyers in the Business Practice Group who represent banks and other financial institutions in senior and mezzanine debt facilities. Her work as a Law Clerk encompass commercial lending and finance transactions, including syndicated loans, asset based loans and second lien loans, in a variety of industries.

Lauren sat for the July, 2016 Bar Exam in Ohio. She received her juris doctorate in 2013 from William and Mary Law School. While attending law school, Lauren served as Senior Articles Editor of the William and Mary Business Law Review. Prior to joining the Firm as a Law Clerk, Lauren served as law clerk to the Honorable Kevin R. Huennekens in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, before working with an international law firm where she focused her practice on corporate restructuring and real estate matters.
