Mark W. Ford is a partner in the Labor and Employment Group of Ice Miller. His primary areas of practice are in employment discrimination matters, collective bargaining, arbitration and personnel advice.

For more than 30 years his practice has been devoted to the representation of employers in the traditional labor law forums of collective bargaining, arbitration and NLRB proceedings. A substantial portion of Ford’s practice is also concentrated on the defense of employment discrimination charges and complaints before state and federal administrative agencies and in judicial forums. In addition, he is a member of Ice Miller's Collegiate Sports Group. He consults with NCAA member institutions on issues ranging from potential infractions to intercollegiate personnel/employment law matters.

A frequent lecturer on the employment law circuit, Mark has spoken to attorneys and human resource professionals on virtually every facet of employment law. Recent topics have included workforce downsizing, developments in the law governing harassment claims and disciplining employees in a non-union work environment. Supervisory training on remaining union free is also an additional focus.

Mark is a former chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section. He is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Indiana, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A native of Indianapolis, Mark received his Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in 1971, and his juris doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law in 1974.
