Michael Allen is an associate in the Firm's Municipal Finance Group. Michael focuses his practice on representative financings, including single and multi-family housing projects, airports, municipal gas utilities, municipal water utilities, Indiana's State Revolving Fund Program and temporary tax anticipation warrants for political subdivisions.
Additionally, Michael has served as bond counsel for governments and governmental issuers, and underwriter's counsel on a variety of tax-exempt and taxable state and municipal bond issues, including general obligation and revenue bonds, special taxing district bonds, tax increment financings and economic development bonds.
In 2004, Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Indiana University. While attending Indiana University he was selected to participate in the honors-level LAMP (Liberal Arts and Management Program) in cooperation with the Kelley School of Business.
In 2008, he earned his juris doctorate from Indiana University - Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indianapolis, Ind.
While in law school, Michael was elected Treasurer of Student Bar Association Executive Board (2006), and was the recipient of the Scholastic Merit Scholarship Award.
Michael joined Ice Miller in October of 2012 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.
