Paul Sinclair, a partner in the Labor and Employment Group, has a primary practice concentration in labor and employment law. In addition to counseling clients, he handles all aspects of employment related legal claims (EEOC, state agencies and lawsuits) on behalf of employers. Paul also negotiates collective bargaining agreements and handles arbitrations on behalf of management.
Paul works with colleges and universities to prepare for their employment obligations, including policy review, key employee relationship review, collective bargaining, and management training.
Paul was born and raised in De Pere, Wis. He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Brigham Young University in 1990 where he was a recipient of the Marriott Scholarship. Paul also lettered in football at BYU. He obtained his juris doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law where he graduated summa cum laude in 1993. While in law school, he was an editor of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal.
During the summer of 1992, Paul clerked for Ice Miller and during the 1992-1993 academic year, he served as a law clerk for the Jackson County, Ill., Circuit Court. Paul joined Ice Miller in 1993 after graduating from law school. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana.
Paul assists clients with preventative training in a wide variety of employment topics, such as sexual harassment, union-free maintenance, basic employment law for managers and how to properly document and discipline, to name a few. In this ever-changing economy, Sinclair has also worked extensively with clients on acquisitions, sales, and reductions in force.
