Peyton Bailey spent several years working in corporate public relations and marketing before pursuing a career as a paralegal. She earned her B.A. in journalism from Ball State University and her Paralegal Certificate from IUPUI. Within the Employee Benefits group at Ice Miller, Peyton focuses on various ERISA, IRS and DOL compliance issues for retirement and health and welfare plans. Among other things, she is responsible for plan document drafting, legal research, and favorable determination letter and correction program filings. Peyton has worked in the industry for nearly 7 years.
Peyton is currently working toward earning the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) professional designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Most recently she earned the RPA (retirement plan associate) partial designation of the CEBS program and will finish the GBA (group benefits associate) portion in 2016 with the hope of finishing the entire CEBS program in 2017. Peyton has also completed the ASPAA Retirement Plan Fundamentals exam earning her RPF.
