We regularly represent financial service firms such as lenders and investors. At the inception of the loan or investment, we assist in the documentation of the transaction and in the identification and resolution of fraudulent conveyance or other creditors' rights concerns. We also advise our financial services clients regarding the vast range of issues that typically arise if the company or project in which the loan or investment is made becomes financially distressed. Ice Miller has represented the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Resolution Trust Corporation in connection with the liquidation of various banks and savings and loan associations in receivership. Much of this work has involved distressed businesses and real estate projects which are the subject of complex financing.
