Nonprofit Incorporation

The first step in establishing a new philanthropic organization is generally the formation of a nonprofit corporation. The Ice Miller team has assisted with the formation of hundreds of nonprofit corporations. We can assist you with building a structure (drafting a purposes statement, determining whether or not to have members, forming a board, etc.). We can draft and file articles of incorporation, draft bylaws and help you with any other filings which may be necessary in order for the corporation to commence operations (such as obtaining a federal employer identification number and registering for state tax purposes).
