One of the first steps in the process for a successful development project is a solid plan and overall development or redevelopment strategy. Our clients consider us partners in this process. Nothing saves time and money in the long run like a team effort initially to make sure the project is managed in the most effective way possible.

Some examples of our representation in this area includes:

  • Represented a municipality in Indiana through a renovation process for a historic hotel that was being developed as senior housing. This project was critical for the downtown area of the community and the redevelopment strategy for the city. We worked with our client to develop the plan, monitor progress, and ensure the developer's compliance and timely
  • Were legal counsel to a non-profit based developer in a mid-size urban market. Our team helped with the acquisition of the abandoned downtown department store in an area of empty storefronts. Through a combination of historic and affordable housing tax credits, along with conventional financing and a conventional loan, the building was converted to a 79 unit affordable senior housing community. The building now sits on a vibrant downtown corridor and serves as home to many moderate income seniors.
