Wetlands

Ice Miller has, among other representations regarding wetlands:

• Obtained permits to discharge dredged and fill materials into waters of the United States, including wetlands;
  
• Represented clients with the IDEM regarding denials of Water Quality Certifications;
  
• Participated in the completion of habitat mitigation plans and coordinated with environmental consults on mitigation projects;
  
• Assisted clients in obtaining Water Quality Certifications;
  
• Advised clients regarding isolated wetlands, waters of the State and related matters pursuant to Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) vs. the Army Corps of Engineers and the subsequent response of many states;
  
• Obtained NPDES permits;
  
• Represented clients regarding the Federal Agriculture Improvements and Reform Act of 1996 (commonly known as the Farm Bill) with regard to the programs for the conservation of wetlands on agricultural land; and
  
• Coordinated with real estate owners on wetland delineations and demarcations.
