HOW WE SERVED

Chicago and DuPage County, Ill.
Ice Miller’s Chicago and DuPage County, Ill. offices worked with Hinsdale Hospital Foundation. Volunteers toured the Cancer Institute facilities then prepared chemo kit bags for patients. The bags contained a variety of items that bring comfort to patients undergoing treatment.

The Hinsdale Hospital Foundation is dedicated to nurturing community goodwill and philanthropy for AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center, Hinsdale and its cancer, hospice and outpatient programs.

Cleveland
Ice Miller’s Cleveland office worked at Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, one of the largest reuse and recycle centers in Ohio’s Cuyahoga County, which sells new and gently used building supplies, tools, furniture, appliances and more.

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity strengthens communities, restores homes, revitalizes local neighborhoods and invests in neighbors’ quest to become homeowners. It has helped make homeownership a possibility for more than 225 Habitat homeowners and over 800 children in Greater Cleveland.

Columbus
Ice Miller’s Columbus office helped out at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Volunteers assisted the chef in preparing a meal for families, baking treats, making no-sew blankets for families and stocking guestrooms for families with necessary supplies.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio has provided families of seriously-ill children with a home-away-from-home since 1982. Each year, nearly 4,500 families come to the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House in search of a place to call home while they care for their children.

Indianapolis
Ice Miller’s Indianapolis office volunteered with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. Volunteers sorted and packed donated food and non-food items and filled bags Gleaners distributes each week to kids in need.

Gleaners fights against hunger in Indiana by distributing food to more than 250 partner agencies in 21 Indiana counties. It also provides direct services to those struggling with hunger, through programs such as BackSacks: Weekend Food for Kids; School-Based Pantry; C.A.R.E. Mobile Pantry and Community Cupboard.

New York
Ice Miller’s New York office served in the Food Bank for New York City’s Shop and Stock with Seniors in West Harlem. They assisted senior citizen members of the pantry, checked out and bagged groceries and restocked shelves at the choice-style food pantry that provides more than 40,000 meals a month.

Food Bank for New York City’s mission is to end hunger by organizing food, information and support for community survival, empowerment and dignity. As the city’s largest hunger-relief organization, it employs a multifaceted approach centered on helping low-income New Yorkers overcome their circumstances and achieve greater independence.

Philadelphia
Ice Miller’s Philadelphia office teamed up with Philabundance to package food for the homeless.

Philabundance is an innovative, impactful and collaborative organization distributing more than 24 million pounds of food a year to those in need. It is a member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks leading the fight against hunger in the United States.
