Lindsay Miller and Greg Dunn to Speak at Net Inclusion Conference

As part of the Net Inclusion 2018 conference, Ice Miller’s Lindsay Miller and Greg Dunn will speak on “Creating Intelligent Communities: Local Government Strategies in Action” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April  17. Their session will focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) and its impact on cities.

Lindsay and Greg will be joined by Kyle Kridler, Economic Development Administrator for the City of Dublin, Ohio; Roberto Gallardo, Assistant Director at the Purdue Center for Regional Development and Dana McDaniel, City Manager for City of Dublin and ICF Institute.

Lindsay will provide a segment called “Progress at the Statehouse,” where attendees can get caught up on the Ohio General Assembly’s status on broadband and local initiatives. The other part of the session will cover “Community Strategies in Action,” discussing “Intelligent Communities” and how cities can harness the opportunities of the IoT.

Net Inclusion 2018 is a conference being held by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance from April 17-19 in Cleveland covering a range of IoT and data security topics. The conference is geared toward Internet providers, academics, advocates, policymakers, community leaders and advocates.

Lindsay Miller is an attorney with the Public Affairs and Government Law Group. With nearly ten years of experience in technology initiatives, Lindsay has a reputation in the broadband and technology arena of being a strong advocate with a successful track record building relationships with public and private sector stakeholders. Lindsay regularly provides advice on how to leverage the Internet of Things and public-private partnerships to build Smarter Cities. This includes providing guidance and counseling to multi-sector leaders as they seek to develop and finance infrastructure and implement policies to build Smarter Cities.

Greg Dunn has represented telecommunication clients for more than 33 years, providing legal and strategic assistance to a variety of private and public clients. Greg has a comprehensive knowledge of both public utility and broadband issues and regularly works with clients on Smart City initiatives and public-private partnerships. His clients include municipalities, The Ohio State Supercomputer Center, data centers and wireless providers. He also consults on state of Ohio broadband and Internet of Things (IoT) public policy issues with Ice Miller Whiteboard LLC and has Public Utilities Commission of Ohio experience in electric issues.
