Stephen Reynolds Appointed to the International Association of Privacy Professionals Board of Directors

Stephen Reynolds, a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Group and co-chair of the Data Security and Privacy Practice, was appointed to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)’s Board of Directors.

He joins fellow appointees Alisa Bergman, Adobe Systems chief privacy officer; Ruth Boardman, Bird & Bird partner and co-head of International Data Protection Practice and Vivienne Artz, Refinitiv chief privacy officer.

As co-chair of Ice Miller’s Data Security and Privacy (DSP) Group, Stephen has helped create a practice that grows and adapts to newly developing and intersecting fields like Blockchain, FinTech and cybersecurity. The group is comprised of former information technology professionals, system engineers and analysts. Ice Miller’s DSP attorneys understand the technologies involved in data and are able to effectively advise clients on all aspects of the complex legal and regulatory issues that relate to processing such information. Stephen leads this team, with experience throughout multiple legal disciplines, in providing end-to-end coverage of privacy and data security issues.

Stephen is also one of the leaders of the Firm’s Internet of Things (IoT) industry initiative. He has worked with manufacturers of interconnected devices to identify risks associated with collecting and transferring data, respond to cyber-attacks and assist with reporting obligations and corrective action plans with Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC).
