As the shift to more renewable energy continues in Indiana, a milestone was reached in the east-central county of Randolph.
Construction of the 200 MW Riverstart solar farm has reportedly been completed by EDP Renewables North America, a subsidiary of EDP Renewables. Hoosier Energy Cooperative will purchase the entirety of the power generated by the solar farm, over a 20-year period. In June 2020, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission largely declined to exercise jurisdiction over the solar facility (see
IURC Cause Number 45336).
