November 17, 2017

Managing partner Judy Okenfuss and partner Stephen Reynolds will speak at the Internet of Things (IoT) Tech Expo North America Nov. 29-30 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley.

The IoT Tech Expo North America, part of the world’s largest IoT event series, will include six specialized tracks: Smart Transportation & Cities, Developing for the IoT, Connected Industry, IoT in Enterprise, IoT Innovations & Technologies and Data & Security. IoT Tech Expo will also host two co-located events covering blockchain technology and artificial intelligence. These events will include 15 total conference tracks, 9,000 attendees, more than 300 speakers and more than 300 exhibitors.

Stephen and Judy will present “Information Security in IoT Contracting” as part of the “Data & Security” track at 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 29. In this session, our attorneys will outline key information security terms for negotiating contracts and how to bring vendors into compliance with security programs. They will also discuss insurance coverage for technology and data and real world examples of addressing security issues in contracts.

Alongside a number of speakers and exhibitors, the expo will also offer plenty of opportunities for networking, an IoT Innovation Incubator for up-and-coming tech entrepreneurs and a discussion on IoT and Bluetooth technology.

IoT Tech Expo Europe will take place from Oct. 1-2 in Amsterdam, and IoT Tech Expo Global will take place in London from April 18-19 next year.
