Municipal Finance Team Attends Bond Attorneys' Workshop in Chicago

This week, 15 Ice Miller attorneys—three of whom are workshop panelists—gathered in Chicago for the 42nd Annual Bond Attorneys’ Workshop (BAW) with the National Association of Bond Lawyers. This year’s event takes place from Oct. 4-6 at the Fairmont Chicago.

Susan Price presented on the panel “Private Activity Bond Tests.” Tyler Kalachnik presented on the “Single Family Housing Bonds” panel. Michael Allen presented on the panel titled, “Preparing to Deliver the Bond Opinion:  Tax Due Diligence and Documentation.”

In addition to these panelists, the following Ice Miller attorneys attended the workshop: Bruce Agin, Amy Corsaro, Phil Genetos, Jane Herndon, Brenda Horn, Mark Huddle, Jeff Lewis, Erik Long, Kristin McClellan, Todd Ponder, Jim Snyder and Steven Washington.

The annual BAW is a chance for our attorneys to meet with their peers to discuss best practices in tax and securities law, strengthen their technical knowledge and catch up on the latest trends and developments in their field. BAW 2017 features 29 different panels covering several areas of the municipal finance practice.
