Experienced Fund Formation Attorney - Chicago
 
Ice Miller is seeking an experienced Fund Formation attorney to join our Business group in Chicago. The Attorney will advise and support all aspects of our complex investment fund formation practice. The Firm will consider service partner candidates.
 
In this position you will:
  • Represent investment funds and portfolio companies in all types of private equity and corporate M&A transitions
  • Advise clients on structuring and formation of funds and other investment vehicles
  • Draft, review, and comment on fund documentation and negotiate side letters.
  • Counsel fund managers in all aspects of fund formation, regulatory compliance and administration.

Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate -- Indianapolis
Ice Miller is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience to join our Litigation practice group in Indianapolis. The associate would become part of a team that represents clients in various commercial litigation matters around the country, particularly in Indiana State and Federal trial and appellate courts. Candidates must have excellent legal research and writing skills, strong oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with excellent law school credentials and references. We prefer candidates who have written discovery and deposition experience, who have drafted pleadings, motions, and briefs, and have courtroom experience. Clerkship experience is also a plus.

Public Affairs Attorney or Professional -- Washington, D.C.
 

Ice Miller is seeking an experienced attorney or public affairs professional to join our Federal Public Affairs practice group in Washington, D.C. Candidates must have at least 5-10 years of experience in the public and/or private sector with experience in any of the following areas: healthcare; energy; tax; trade; and appropriations.
 
In this position you will:

  • Work with a small, close-knit team of attorneys, lobbyists, and professional staff;
  • Be part of a sophisticated, growing federal affairs practice that advises private entities, foreign governments, state and local governments, non-profit and advocacy organizations, and individuals on a broad range of federal policy issues;

Telecommunications & Utility Regulatory Attorney -- Columbus
 
Ice Miller is seeking an attorney to join our Public Affairs practice group in Columbus. Candidates must have 1-5 years of experience in either the public or private sector with experience in any of the following areas: telecommunications/broadband law; energy law; utility regulatory law; public/local government law; technology contracting; and regulated industries. Experience with real property and/or contract law is preferred.

Ice Miller is seeking a mid-to-senior level corporate attorney with significant venture capital experience to join one of our Midwest offices (remote options will be considered anywhere in the Eastern or Central time zones).

Securities Senior Associate/Counsel – Chicago/Remote
Ice Miller is seeking an associate to join our Business practice group in Chicago and will consider remote options anywhere in the Eastern or Central time zones. Candidates must have 3+ years of law firm experience, a deep knowledge of federal and state securities law, and experience with securities reporting and compliance. Past SEC experience is a plus. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong credentials.

 The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a practice primarily focused on federal and state securities law
  • Have experience with capital formation (registered public and exempt private offerings); federal and state securities reporting and compliance; corporate governance; mergers and acquisitions; commercial lending; and general corporate matters
  • Excel in a team environment
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in developing and implementing relationship-building skills both internally and externally
  • Have prior experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own
  • Be highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Have excellent law school credentials and references
