Mid-to-Senior Level M&A Associate - Columbus and Indiana

Ice Miller is seeking attorneys in Columbus and Indiana with at least 3 years of law firm corporate transactional experience to join our team. Successful candidates will work with our attorneys across several other offices representing buy-side and sell-side clients in all forms of mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances, and financing transactions of all sizes. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and strong credentials.

Mid-to-Senior Level Venture Capital Attorney – Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago/DuPage
Ice Miller is seeking a mid-to-senior level corporate attorney with significant venture capital experience to join one of our Midwest offices.

Successful candidates will work with our business group across several offices representing primarily entrepreneurs and investors. Candidates should have experience providing strategic counsel to clients as well as drafting documents and structuring and closing transactions. Candidates should have experience working with start-ups and emerging growth companies and assisting with seed and venture capital financings.
 
Candidates also must have a team-oriented mentality and be a motivated self-starter.
 
In this position you will:
  • Lead and/or assist with various corporate transactions with a primary focus on venture capital financing

Ice Miller seeks an associate with 3+ years of experience to join our national Employee Benefits Practice Group. We prefer candidates to be located in Chicago or Indianapolis. Candidates must have experience with ERISA, qualified plans, health and welfare benefits, and executive compensation.
 
In this position you will:
  • Perform sophisticated benefits compliance work for clients in the areas of pension and retirement plans, health and welfare benefits and incentive and nonqualified deferred compensation

Private Equity Associate – New York

Ice Miller is seeking a private equity attorney with 4 or more years of law firm experience to join our New York office. Successful candidates will work with our busy Private Equity team in New York representing middle market and lower middle market private equity funds, private debt funds, SBICs, BDCs, family offices and independent sponsors in their investment strategies, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, senior and mezzanine debt financings, structured equity investments, growth capital transactions, early and late stage private equity investments and secondary transactions. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong law school credentials and references.

Ice Miller is seeking an associate to join our Business practice group in Chicago. Candidates must have 3+ years of law firm experience, a deep knowledge of federal and state securities law, and experience with securities reporting and compliance. Past SEC experience is a plus. Public Finance Associate – Columbus
Ice Miller is seeking an attorney with 3+ years’ experience as a lawyer to join our Public Finance practice group in Columbus. The candidate must have prior transactional experience, but prior public finance experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and be able to handle multiple matters at one time.
 
In this position you will:
  • Join one of the most well-established and experienced public finance groups in the mid-west
  • Provide legal support for partners in all roles relevant to public finance including bond, underwriter's, and disclosure counsel, with a primary focus on tax-exempt bond financings for nonprofit organizations
  • Work primarily with educational and healthcare institutions, recreational and cultural facilities, and other public institutions on a wide variety of public finance transactions

Ice Miller is seeking an associate with 3 or more years of experience in lending transactions, including lender-side representation and/or borrower representation in mergers and acquisitions including private equity, senior capital, junior capital, and mezzanine financing transactions. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of financing structures, credit agreements, security agreements, and documenting finance transactions.
