Private Equity Associates – New York, Columbus, Chicago, DuPage, and Indianapolis

Ice Miller is seeking private equity attorneys with 3 to 6 years of law firm experience to join our offices in New York, Columbus, Chicago, DuPage, and Indianapolis. Successful candidates will work with our Private Equity teams across several offices representing middle market and lower middle market private equity funds, family offices and independent sponsors in their leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and growth capital transactions. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong credentials.

Mid-Level Alternative Investments Associate -- Any Office (Columbus preferred)

Ice Miller is seeking an associate to join our Business practice group in any of our offices, with a strong preference for Columbus. We are seeking an attorney with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Alternative Investments. The position involves representing institutional investors in their investments in and exits from the alternative asset class, across the full range of investment strategies and structures.
 
Client investments are primarily fund-based but also include separate account, fund of one, and direct and indirect co-investment structures. For certain clients we also advise on general investment management transactions outside of the alternative asset area. Our clients include US public pension plans and other governmental entities, insurance companies, banks, investment advisers, health systems, family offices, college and university endowments and high net worth investors.
 
In this position you will:  
  • Represent institutional investors including public pension plans, insurance companies, banks, and investment advisers.
  • Advise clients on their alternative asset class investments and strategies beyond alternative assets

Senior Level Life Sciences IP Attorney – Any Office
Ice Miller is seeking a senior IP attorney to join our Business Group practice group in any of our Ice Miller offices. This attorney will support and counsel clients in transactions in both academic and industry settings that include important and complex intellectual property issues. Candidates must have 6 or more years of experience as an IP attorney with a focus on the life sciences, including pharmaceuticals and/or healthcare matters. Candidates should have a bachelor’s or advanced degree in a life sciences field and have a strong understanding of healthcare laws and regulations.
 
In this position you will:
  • Counsel clients about transactional structures and intellectual property considerations
  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of transactions including: academic collaborations (in-licenses, sponsored research, research collaborations, clinical development collaborations, and consortiums) and industry collaborations (selective program/product/field/territory licensing, evaluation and option arrangements, R&D collaborations, manufacturing and process/formulation collaborations, and promotion and distribution agreements)
  • Work within the Business Group with our private equity, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions verticals
  • Handle matters related to pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences regulatory issues
  • Analyze and structure arrangements among Life Sciences stakeholders
 The ideal candidate will:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a life sciences or related field
  • Prior experience with Pharmacy, Life Sciences, and/or Healthcare related matters
  • Have a familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations

Finance Associate – New York
