Job Description:
The Billing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Billing functions for the Firm across all markets. The Billing Manger will work with the Firm’s Chief Pricing Officer to manage the Firm’s alternative fee arrangement options and ensure efficiency in the billing cycle. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials, and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position. 

Essential Job Duties: 
•Manage the full-cycle billing functions for the Firm 
•Liaise between attorneys and billing team regarding billing requirements and fee options
•Work collaboratively with the Chief Pricing Officer and Senior Management to establish financial goals as it relates to the billing process 
•Train team members on processes and procedures related to the billing process and alternative fee options 
•Liaise with the Chief Pricing Officer and Pricing Analysts to understand and educate attorneys on various pricing models 
•Identify trends and issues with performance in relation to practice group profitability and client fee agreements and offer suggestions for improvement
•Manage the billing team across all markets 
•Analyze billing processes and understand technical aspects of billing software 
•Communicate regularly with the Chief Pricing Officer and Practice Group Leaders regarding delinquent billing and to ensure client bills meet expectations  
•Analyze current processes and look for improvements and potential to streamline and automate routine tasks 

Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting related field required
•5 years of accounting experience in a law firm environment 
•Minimum 3 years of management experience 
•Strong bookkeeping background
•General understanding of electronic billing
•Proficient in Microsoft Office products 
•Able to adapt to fast pace work environment
•Able to work remotely as requested and supervise staff across office locations 
•Ability to adopt and integrate new technology to build process efficiency 
•Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time
•Ability to analyze data to drive decisions
•Must have strong attention to detail 
•Must be organized
•Excellent communication skills when dealing with a diverse group of professionals
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to prioritize duties and use good judgment
•Able to independently lead a team, including conflict management, and implement solutions 
•Must be able to perform all essential duties
