Job Description:
Ice Miller, LLP is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team. The paralegal will be responsible for researching, preparing and updating documents to support the Firm’s practice. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, with time-sensitive materials, and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position. 

Essential Job Duties: 
•Review Real Estate due diligence for finance, acquisition and disposition transactions
•Critically review title reports, policies, and underlying documentation support for property ownership, encumbrances, and other pertinent ‘checklist’ items; discuss, negotiate and manage title curative items with title agent(s); Draft, deliver and negotiate title objection letters under supervision of supervising attorney 
•Draft corporate organizational documentation including LLC and LP agreements and filed with appropriate jurisdiction
•Draft lease abstract summaries in relation to review of various easements, leases and option agreements
•Work closely with attorneys, title companies, lenders, and real estate agents to facilitate real estate closings by the anticipated closing date
•Provide assistance in the investigation and preparation of disclosure offering documents 
•Draft and track timetables for multiple transactions
•Assist attorneys with drafting and preparing correspondence, resolutions, notices and other legal documents
•Communicate with clients and assist with other clerical matters within practice group
•Coordinate closing activities and manage various client communications and logistics
•Provide high level support to legal team
•Assist in the gathering of materials and organizing and assembling transcript of proceedings 
•Develop and maintain research and file documents as it relates to practice group
•Manage various projects and deals as assigned by Practice Group 

Minimum Requirements:
•High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate a plus 
•Strong understanding of real estate terminology  
•Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail will be required 
•Demonstrated commitment delivering quality legal services 
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously 
•Exhibits resourcefulness and flexibility 
•Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking skills
•Ability to take initiative to complete tasks
•Must be able to perform all essential job duties
